[She is trying to slip a crayon map under a Gluttony door. One of these sites is not like the others...not very subtle.
If Val finds it, if she ever goes to investigate, she may find an old coffee can with a piece of paper glued to the outside, and Nora glyphs spelling out Val's name (the glyphs are stark black lines, predominantly patterns of V's. It rattles when picked up - within, are a Foodland multitool/pocketknife and a couple of bone arrowheads. A hunter's gift.
There's also one more sheet of paper, crayons again, this time looking like someone attempted to trace over reproduce a picture. At the bottom, an unpracticed hand has written in English:]
[ she has NO idea how to read those glyphs but she'll open it anyway bc it feels like it'd be weird for someone to leave something that was like, super private outside
possibly against her better judgement (and quickly growing directional issues thank you fever) she DOES head out to the marked spot to pick up the gift, looking over it with confusion at first and then-- oh! This is from Aloy. She's a little amused that she didn't just drop it off like a normal person but this sort of thing is fun too.
Sometime much later Envy will get a knock on the door and hopefully Aloy's the one who checks because the same can is sitting on the porch. Inside there's a carefully wrapped pack of cold-smoked meat (both elk and fish) and a handful of stone arrowheads, along with a note; her handwriting is steady and clear.]
I'm not sure that I did anything to deserve thanks. But thank you for the gift.
Edited (no idea why it doubled like that. weird) 2024-03-25 00:03 (UTC)
[Aloy will be collecting that can and taking it inside! When she peeks inside, the elk and fish can be stored for the team. But the rest is kept to herself, hustled off to her room. The note could have been a text, but it's not, so she thinks - she'll just have to think of another one, time allowing.]
